Behind the name Certate lies the long path of continuous evolution! Since 2004, the year of the first appearance of this iconic blue reel, the Certate has undergone various changes over the generations. Each time marking its time, this reference model has always carried in it the best of Daiwa design and engineering: the concept "Real Four", the "Magesealed", the revolution "Light & Tough", the "Monocoque" and now the "Airdrive Design".

This 2024 version is the result of years of work and improvement to develop an exceptionally equipped reel. The control provided by the fluidity of operation and the power in fishing action will make possible the most extreme fishing adventures.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN
The «AIRDRIVE DESIGN» is the new development concept of Daiwa spinning reels. The 24CERTATE implements this state-of-the-art technology on the front of the reel (rotor, reel, shaft and basket handle), offering anglers superior operability with maximum power and stiffness. Fluidity and power combined in a single reel.

MQ
The MONOCOQUE aluminum frame symbolizes the resistance that no other reel can provide. An identity that has earned CERTATE the trust of a wide range of fishermen over the years. The MONOCOQUE frame is covered with a side flange, which itself serves as a huge screw, on a solid frame and prevents deformation under heavy loads. The removal of the screw threads also creates a much larger space inside the body than in the traditional structure, allowing a more powerful and larger diameter control wheel to be housed.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR
The 24CERTATE reel is equipped with a "TOUGH DIGIGEAR" control wheel in duralumin. The rigid material is cold forged and machine cut with high precision to achieve the ideal tooth shape. In addition, a special surface treatment is applied to minimize damage to gears caused by high loads. The 3000 to 5000 size reels with an XH ratio are equipped with a high-strength sprocket that has already proven itself with the SALTIGA range.

ATD-L
The ATD TYPE-L brake system works smoothly in response to a fish’s pull. But the initial brake response has been further improved, especially when using lighter lines, to further reduce the load on the line and allow faster capture without causing too much stress to the fish.
